Approach

Building Community Through Cultural Expression is a project developed by Renfrew-Collingwood residents and artists who wanted to build community and improve cultural capacities of individuals and their community. The group, Renfrew Collingwood Arts Pow Wow, believes that self-respect, creativity and pride of place must first happen before truly positive development can take place in the community. Art as a common language and tool allows residents to express themselves and build a sense of community, together. Therefore, we see a central role for the artist in nurturing social well being.

This Inventory focuses on just a few of the Artistic undertakings done through the Arts Pow Wow.
